About Us
The Women's Finance Exchange, Inc. is an organization made up of "women who support women." WFE was founded in 1990 in Atlanta so that women active in the financial arena could assemble to discuss business issues and build upon their referral bases. A Houston Chapter was formed in 1994 and the Dallas Chapter of the WFE was formed in 1998.
WFE Dallas is comprised of professionals, attorneys, accountants, lenders, principals, investment bankers and agents involved in mergers, acquisitions, financings and other deal activities. To date membership stands at over 100.
The Dallas Chapter of WFE has been involved in a number of philanthropic projects such as:
Annual Charity Golf Tournament – Proceeds raised directly benefiting the Dallas Women's Foundation in their efforts to support "at risk" women and girls in their community. To date, the WFE has contributed over $240,000 to this charitable organization.
"Attitudes & Attire" (www.attitudesandattire.org) - Participation yearly with donating "gently used" business attire to help promote personal growth for economically disadvantaged women. Read more.
In addition, a guest speaker is chosen for most of our monthly meetings to address various topics that directly impact women. Regular luncheon meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Belo Mansion, unless otherwise noted.
